Chris Hoffman’s love and passion for art began at a young age. He won his first art award in grade school and it inspired him to follow a creative path. He was constantly seen with pencil and paper, sketching things, real and imagined. His art education began in middle and high school where he received several awards in the annual school art shows.
Although his teachers encouraged him to continue his formal art education, he placed his art career on hold and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. After his discharge, he returned to his artistic path, using his G.I. Bill to continue his fine art studies and receive his Bachelor of Arts degree.
Chris has been painting professionally for over 20 years and his works can be found in private collections, both nationally and internationally. He has participated in art shows nationwide, including Boston, New York City and Palm Springs. In 2015 he co-founded Fusion Art with his wife, Valerie, a retired film producer, to identify talented artists and help them to successfully market their works to the art world.
Chris's personal inspiration includes the portraits and scenes of everyday life by master artists such as John Singer Sargent, Claude Monet and August Renoir. The use of watercolor as his medium of choice is influenced by the wonderful works of modern masters Mary Whyte, Steve Hanks, and the figurative paintings of Don Andrews.
