Diane Morgan is an internationally acclaimed, award-winning artist based in the Palm Springs area of California, USA. After a successful career in advertising, and as Public Art Administrator for the City of Palm Springs, she now teaches art classes and paints full-time.

Formally trained in oils she now also paints with watercolor and enjoys the challenges each medium presents. She uses lighting effects, reflected surfaces, exaggerated contrasts and unusual compositions to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. Diane’s favorite subjects are large florals, still life and vintage cars.

Her paintings have won numerous awards and appear in collections across the United States and Canada.

Diane also won an Artist Spotlight Solo Art Exhibition in March 2022, which can be seen on the main Fusion Art website.

Diane Morgan Artist Statement

Adding drama and mystery through the use of powerful lighting, exaggerated contrasts and unusual compositions, I transform simple, everyday life into un-ordinary, not-so-still life. Taking an ordinary subject and enhancing its perception invites the viewer to take a closer look. If you look closer, you may discover something new about yourself. I start the process, but the paint often takes command and leads to unexpected outcomes.  It’s always exhilarating.
